Warehouse Racking: Ordinary Rack and Knockdown Rack

Nowadays, it’s obvious that industrial sector has to save the budget to maintain their cash flow. They have to keep the raw material, finished goods, or the other things in order to have a longer saving time. One of the ways to keep it is by putting those things on a warehouse racking system. This system will let the industrial sector to make the area effective, because it needs less space.

It is important, especially for the factory or distribution company that has to face some changing of the warehouse. One of the systems is called the Knock-Down. This system allows the factory or the distribution company to unload and load easily. It also allows them to adjust the height of the rack.

The other model of racking is depends on the weight of the goods. There are three warehouse racking that is depends on the weight, which are light-duty shelving, mid-duty shelving, and heavy-duty shelving. The light-duty shelving usually used to keep the light weighted goods such as cosmetics and drugs.  The mid-duty shelving is used to keep the heavier goods such as raw foods, etc. While the heavy-duty shelving is used to keep the heavy goods such as metals, furniture, etc.

Based on the mechanism, warehouse racking is divided into some groups, such as mezzanine rack, drawer rack, cantilever rack, pallet rack, and drive-in rack. Most of factories or distribution company uses pallet rack because it has a stronger structure of warehouse racking.
