Old Fashioned Kitchen
Electric stove is one of the modern kitchen appliances that are still not commonly used in most houses, especially in developing countries. The advantage of electrical stove using is that there won’t be soot on the pan, wok, or the other kitchen appliances. But if you want to own this electrical stove, you have to pay more than the fire-based stove. This is the reason why in developing countries the using of electrical stove is still not common. Most of the kitchens there use a fire-based stove that use gas or kerosene as its energy source.

Usually, the kitchens in the most developing countries houses are old fashioned kitchens. There will be a typical design of the kitchens. Besides having a fire-based stove, there will be a cabinet that is attached on the floor to put the dishes, a kitchen sink to clean the raw food or the kitchen appliances, and a wall-attached cabinet to put the sugar, salt, coffee, tea, milk, or the spices. There will also be a set of furniture (table and chairs) for having the meals. Mostly, it’s a set of wooden furniture. Why wooden furniture? Because wooden furniture gives a warm condition as well as the color of the cabinets and the wall painting.

The old fashioned kitchen usually uses a soft color, such as cream, ivory, or light chocolate. And as well as the furniture, the cabinet also made from wood. The using of soft color and wooden furniture are related to the function of the kitchen. Usually, in developed countries, the family eats the meal in the kitchen. So the soft color and the wooden furniture will give them an intimate and warm atmosphere.
