Basic Guide To Kitchen Feng Shui
For some people, considering a feng shui is a must when they want to build or design a house. It’s an important thing because feng shui is related to the luck and good or bad effect of the kitchen to our live. It’s the Chinese that is always concern about the feng shui, because they want their life to be gifted by the God, or they want to get luck of what they own in their home.
Some of the beliefs of feng shui for the kitchen are usually related to:
- The position and the direction of the kitchen
- Things to do and not allowed to do in the kitchen
- The color choice of the wall and the kitchen appliances, etc.

The best position of the kitchen is at the north and east or the south east. The north represents the water element. Kitchen is considered as a fire element, so if the kitchen is place on the north, it is believed that there will be a balancing condition of the north position and the kitchen. Besides, the kitchen that is placed on the east or south east can also balance the life of the people live there, because east or south east represents the wood element.
There are some things that are not allowed to do in the kitchen, such as drying a cloth on the oven/stove. Chinese believe of what they call God of Oven. When you dry a cloth on top of an oven, it is considered as an insulting thing to the God. And when you do it, it is believed that there will be accidents, as well as when you place a kitchen under the ladder.
